Darcy and I will celebrate our 57th anniversary this summer. We are blessed with three adult children in their 40's and 50's.

Our daughter, Cheryl, is a nurse for St. Luke's Hospital. She leaves in both Mequon and Flagstaff. She married her highschool boyfriend last summer, 35 years later. Her husband, Dave, has been living in Flagstaff for the past 35 years. Cheryl changed to a remote job with St. Luke's which allows her to go back and forth between Mequon and Flagstaff. Her husband, Dave, is also a nurse and works at a local hospital.

Our oldest son, Mark, has a construction company and lives in Cedarburg. His wife, Kate, is a nurse with Aurora.

Our youngest son, Scott, lives in Merritt Island, FL. and works at Patrick Space Force Base in Cocoa Beach. His wife, Jessica, formerly worked for NASA and currently works at Cape Canaveral supporting rocket launches.

Darcy and I also have four grandchildren.
Abby(18) and Luke(16) live in Cedarburg. Abby is a senior in highschool and Luke is a Sophomore.
Steve(8) and Caroline(6) live in Florida.

Darcy and I are blessed to be able to spend four months every year in Florida. Our condo is on the beach and it is only ten miles from our son's house. This allows us to spend quality time with our son, daughter in law and our younger grandchildren.

I grew up in Glendale and graduated from Nicolet High School just a short 60 years ago.
That is where I took my first architectural course and fell in love with architecture. I ended up working full time in the profession of architecture for over 50 years. During that time I worked as a draftsman for two different firms, as sole principal of my own firm and as a partner in two firms. My partner and I sold our firm at the end of 2016, finally allowing me to retire.

We have lived in Mequon for 55 years and I have tried to stay active in our community during that time. I am extremely proud to be a charter member of our Rotary Club. The past 35 years have gone by quickly. It is interesting to think back 35 years when a group of us got together to discuss the possibility of starting up a new Rotary Club. None of us knew anything about Rotary. We were on a big learning curve. And learn, we did. Even though the other charter members are no longer with the club, they set the bar high. They were hard working professionals who quickly understood how Rotary could benefit our community and the world. Our club is as strong as it has ever been and is well respected in our community. Keep up the good work.
