Hello Potential Career Speakers, Homestead High School is having a career speaker event the morning of April 15th. I hope you will consider being a guest speaker for our Career Conversations series. Speakers will be presenting to a high school classroom of students interested in pursuing their specific career. Date: April 15th, 2025 Please feel free to register for multiple sessions. Register Here Objective of Guest Speaker: The guest speaker’s presentation may consist of their background, what they currently do for an occupation, the path (education/work experiences) and the work readiness “skills” that have helped you achieve your career goals. (Notable Nine Universal Work Readiness Skills) The goal is for the student to feel connected to the speaker and their experiences. Time: The guest speaker will have approximately 35 minutes to share their story with the class and 9 minutes to provide the opportunity for students to ask questions, for a total of a 44 minute session. Format: The guest speaker can choose the delivery method of his/her presentation. Presentation Ideas: Speaker Information and Presentation Framework Career Fair: In addition to the presentations we will have booths set up for a walkable career fair in the field house.
