World Immunization Week is celebrated annually on the last week of April. The aim is to highlight the collective action needed and to promote the use of vaccines to protect people of all ages against disease. For Rotarians, this week is an opportunity to raise awareness for polio eradication and the importance of funding the essential End Polio Now expertise in vaccination campaigns, disease surveillance, social mobilization, and outbreak response.
We chose this week as the culmination of our PolioPlus Society launch because of World Immunization Week and TriCon 2022. We want the society members to wear their lapel pins this weekend.
