New District 6270 Web Site
Welcome to our new website. It is still at http://www.rotary6270.org , but we have moved it to the ClubRunner product. Many thanks go out to Karen White and Pattie Pilz of nsite designs who created our former website and kept it updated. When DG Paul realized that the ClubRunner product assists districts into becoming bigger, better and bolder by enhancing their ability at connecting, collaborating and communicating, he knew that this was the right move for us. Now moving forward DGE Nancy and her Executive Team will be able to start their Rotary year out with a new tool in their toolbox.
In order to get us to the June 1st rollout much work has been done behind the scenes. ClubRunner has downloaded info supplied by RI (sorry some of it still needs some tweaking), but the homepage and site pages were the work of Karen White, Pattie Pilz and MT Sunrise members Steve Lettau and myself.
Many clubs in our district have been using this product for many years and now when they update their club’s members info and attendance it will also be seamlessly updated to both the district and at RI databases. Many clubs have also taken advantage of the e-newsletter/bulletin and have increased membership and participation in their events because it is always fresh, current and can easily be forwarded to PM, guests and visitors. As with any new tool, the temptations are to wish that you could go back to back to the old more familiar and comfortable tool, or to plunge in and figure out how to use it through trial and error. It has taken me many years to realize that it is faster, less frustrating and more efficient to actually read the instructions first. ClubRunner offers many different levels of instructions available to all http://www.clubrunner.ca . We will also be scheduling webinars and workshops to bring up the confidence level of what this new tool will and can do for all of us.
We are not done yet, there will be more features rolled out over the next few months, such as a district e-newsletter/bulletin and online directory. We will also be opening this up to Rotarian businesses to sponsor/advertise as they are doing at http://www.rotary6440.org . So please develop the habit of visiting our site more frequently to see how we are continuing to make our district bigger, better and bolder with ClubRunner and please don’t be afraid to start using that new tool.
