MT’s new Environmental Stewardship Committee

PE Dave Schlageter and Brian Monroe will recap how MT Sunrise Club has been involved with many environmental projects that have touched and improved the lives of many people in our local MT communities. From our Red Bud project to our stewardship at Pukaite Woods and embracing and exceeding last year’s Rotary International’s tree planting challenge.

We’ll share how we’ve developed many key partners and how this coordinated effort, led primarily by two MT leaders evolved into an environmental stewardship committee. At the January 2019 MT BOD meeting President Bobby made it official and sanctioned the MT Sunrise Environmental Committee.

We’ll also show you how Rotary International has an action group ESRAG (Environmental Sustainability Rotary Action Group) that integrates the importance of environmental projects into all of Rotary’s "6 Areas of Focus”. At the end of our presentation we hope that you’ll join us, especially on Saturday 11 May at Pukaite Woods.
