The speaker committee is seeking your ideas for presentations or speakers to create exciting programs. Please submit your suggestions to them.
We are about to start a new year for Rotary. We are always looking for speakers. There are no set rules for the speakers, and we welcome a diverse group of people. If you have anyone in mind, please contact me via email, and we will work to invite them to a meeting.
I grew up in Oconomowoc. My Dad, with the help of a retired professional carpenter, built the house my Mom lived in for sixty‑two years. During those years, my two brothers and I re‑roofed the house and garage a couple of times.
After graduating from high school (1965) in the top 97% of my class, I moved to San Francisco as an aspiring “hippy.” I wasn’t very good at it, always having both a full‑time job and a part‑time job.
I returned to Wisconsin to be near my nieces and nephews as they grew up. Working at the Milwaukee Journal and Sentinel gave me the opportunity to become a journeyman Photo Engraver and eventually a newspaper photographer for the following 35 years.
I am proud of my only progeny, Ian, who is a mechanical engineer and skateboarder, living in Rochester, N.Y.
I am grateful for the friends at my Unitarian Church and M‑T Sunrise Rotary Club.
