The speaker committee is seeking your ideas for presentations or speakers to create exciting programs. Please submit your suggestions to them.
We are about to start a new year for Rotary. We are always looking for speakers. There are no set rules for the speakers, and we welcome a diverse group of people. If you have anyone in mind, please contact me via email, and we will work to invite them to a meeting.

Rotary Moment- Dean Johnson

I grew up in Oconomowoc. My Dad, with the help of a retired professional carpenter, built the house my Mom lived in for sixty‑two years. During those years, my two brothers and I re‑roofed the house and garage a couple of times.

After graduating from high school (1965) in the top 97% of my class, I moved to San Francisco as an aspiring “hippy.” I wasn’t very good at it, always having both a full‑time job and a part‑time job.

I returned to Wisconsin to be near my nieces and nephews as they grew up. Working at the Milwaukee Journal and Sentinel gave me the opportunity to become a journeyman Photo Engraver and eventually a newspaper photographer for the following 35 years.

I am proud of my only progeny, Ian, who is a mechanical engineer and skateboarder, living in Rochester, N.Y.

I am grateful for the friends at my Unitarian Church and M‑T Sunrise Rotary Club.

Speaker Friday - Will Jones

As City Administrator, he is responsible for managing, coordinating, and expediting activities across all City departments, serving as the City’s spokesperson and representative to other government and local business community units, and overseeing the City’s annual budget development.

Before joining Mequon in 2015, Will was employed with the Village of Glencoe (IL) for four years as Assistant Village Manager, and with the City of Highland Park (IL) for fifteen years in a variety of positions in both management and finance.

Will has earned designation as both a Credentialed Manager through the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) and as a Certified Public Finance Officer through the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA). Presently, Will serves as President‑Elect for the Wisconsin City/County Management Association and recently concluded a three‑year term as a member of GFOA’s Executive Board.
