Thought of the Week

According to most studies, people’s number one fear is public speaking. Number two is death. Death is number two! Does that sound right? That means to the average person, if you go to a funeral, you’re better off in the casket than doing the eulogy. ~ Jerry Seinfeld

St. Marcus Christmas Angels

We’re delighted to support 2 families of 4 as part of the St. Marcus Christmas Angels program.

We have designated our Friday, December 13th Club Meeting as our Special Wrapping Meeting for these families.

We are asking you bring wrapping paper and tape between now and December 13th as these are in much demand as we wrap on December 13th. Julie Irvine will collect these items and store for us.

November 15th, we will have Christmas Gift Tags to hand out to begin our shopping excursions. Once again, Julie has offered Newcastle storage for the gifts!

Throwing Down the Gauntlet - 11/14/2019 Update

I just wanted to provide an update regarding the competition between clubs.

Currently, the 2019-2020 contributions to date between the Noon and Sunrise Rotary Clubs is as follows:

  • Noon Club: $3,374.00
  • Sunrise Club: $805.00

Although it appears the Noon Club is running away with this, with no sign of letting up, this is all the more reason for a few Sunrise Club members to step in to close the gap. The Noon Club should be aware that the Sunrise Club may also be holding back for a last minute push for the title.
