Kolby Zellmann Visits the Club
A GREAT GUEST!
Last week we were treated by a visit from Kurt Zellmann’s 10-year-old son, Kolby.
Celebrating his birthday that week, the self-assured lad took the microphone and introduced himself, charming all as only a ten-year-old can.

Members insisted that Rene Settle-Robinson salute Kolby with her trademark jazz rendition of, "Happy Birthday."
At its conclusion, Kolby edified the members, opening his young arms to thank Rene.
Dr. Rene Settle-Robinson sings for Colby while Judine Phillips and Errol Barnett enjoy, along with others.

JUNE 9th MEMBER SPOTLIGHT:  Fr. Mike Shay
Sure, most members of our club know I’m a Catholic priest, but not everyone knows things about me that usually don’t accompany such a profession.

BRIAN KENDZOR

(Dean Johnson Photo)

Our own Brian Kendzor, who spoke at last week’s meeting, updated the club on the efforts of the Guatemala Medical Resources Partnership (GMRP) and a Rotarian sister organization, the Oliveros Scholarship Fund. The MT Sunrise club has been supporting both efforts for many years. GMRP sends teams of 40 or more Rotarians and other volunteers to Guatemala, providing medical and dental care, while the Oliveros fund provides financial support for students to keep them in school so they do not have to work to help the family survive.

Club members are encouraged to go to www.https://www.gmrp.org and download the project PowerPoint presentation, and to https://www.oliverosfund.org to learn about the scholarship program. Many thanks to Brian for the very thorough update of what some of our members have involved themselves in personally.

Rotarians can tell you about their own  "Rotary Moment," when they realized Rotary was for them, and they were meant for Rotary.  John Cabaniss was responsible for hers.  (See last week's bulletin.)
