Our next meeting will be Friday (9/28) at Newcastle Place, 12600 N. Port Washington Road, Mequon, WI 53092.

Our program for Friday’s meeting will feature Gordy Haberman - Kewaskum 9/11 Memorial Committee.

The greeter will provide either the thought, a Rotary minute, share a family moment or a cultural tradition ... anything they would like to start off the day positive.

The M-T Chanber of Commerce has just announced its winners for 2018.  Our own Connie Pukaite has been chosen as the recipient of the DISTINGUISHED SERVICE award for 2018!

Previous M-T Sunrise Rotary members honored by the chamber include:

The "Celebrate Your Community Awards Dinner" will be held on Thu. Oct. 18 at Watermark at Shully's, Thiensville.  Cash bar, music, auction, etc. 5:00.  Dinner at 6:00. Tickets are $60.00 if ordered by Oct. 5th or $75 if ordered after Oct. 5th.

Dinner choices: Steer Filet or Walleye Filet and includes hors d'oeuvres, salad and dessert.

The new faces of the dehumidifier recall

Following fire, and loss of their dog, the Erlauers are out to educate others

CEDARBURG — Ann Erlauer is beyond angry.

If there was a recall on dehumidifiers, she certainly hadn’t heard about it.

Instead, the Cedarburg woman learned the hard way that some dozen brands of the appliances pose a fire hazard because of a faulty part. 

Ann and her husband, James Erlauer, lost their beloved dog Bubba last week when their dehumidifier caught fire, spreading thick back smoke throughout their Spruce Avenue home.

James Erlauer had come home in the early afternoon Tuesday, and as he opened the side door to his garage, he was met with a blast of smoke.

Kola is a second-generation Rotarian who joined Rotary International as an nd Interactor on February 2 1982 and since then went through three stages of Rotary as an Interactor, Rotaractor and currently Rotarian. He is currently District Governor Elect, formerly the Chair of the District Public Image committee, formerly the District Trainer and the Charter President of the Mequon-Milwaukee Afterhours Rotary Club. He is husband to Zoreedua, proud dad of his son - Ayo (a Rotarian in the making), Jasper - a Welsh Corgi and Leo - a Terrier/Lab mix. For leisure, he enjoys Martial Arts, Jazz, Computers/Electronics gadgets, and International traveling when time permits.

Kola is a Social Entrepreneur and Academic. Some of the hats he wears are - President of Renaissance Development Services, L3C., President of Ayantade Property Management, LLC, Founder/Chair for The Greater Milwaukee Chamber of Commerce, Inc. and Founder/Chair of the Africa Business Coalition, L3C. He serves on the board of various organizations and also serves as an adjunct professor at Milwaukee Area Technical College, Cardinal Stritch University, Alverno College and Ottawa University.
