The speaker committee is seeking your ideas for presentations or speakers to create exciting programs. Please submit your suggestions to them.
We are about to start a new year for Rotary. We are always looking for speakers. There are no set rules for the speakers, and we welcome a diverse group of people. If you have anyone in mind, please contact me via email, and we will work to invite them to a meeting.
Nick Sgarlata – Executive Director, Bridge to Brighter
Nick Sgarlata serves as the Executive Director of Bridge to Brighter, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting young men who have aged out of foster care.
A foster and adoptive parent himself, Nick and his family have opened their home to more than 15 children over the past decade. In 2021, they adopted two sons from foster care—Raphael (now 8) and Joseph (now 5).
Before leading Bridge to Brighter, Nick worked as a pediatric speech-language pathologist and co-owned a therapy company for five years. His professional expertise and personal experience uniquely position him to guide the organization’s mission with compassion and insight.
Nick and his wife, Carrie, have been married for 29 years and are parents to three biological children: Hailey (26), Maddie (23), and Gunner (19).
In addition to his work with Bridge to Brighter, Nick is an active member of the Elmbrook Rotary Club, continuing his commitment to service and community engagement.
