We are sadly again watching disaster unfold before us in real time as Ukraine fends off Russia.military attacks. The attacks are leading to hundreds of thousands of refugees who are seeking safety. At these times, many feel compelled to help but caution should be used in where money is donated. We at the District are not experts in this but there are some Rotary projects directly related to this.
The first is ShelterBox. This Rotary initiated project provides shelter for refugees in war torn areas. They have just provided us with information on their plans to help in Ukraine which I have attached here. More information, and how you can help via ShelterBox, is also available here https://www.shelterboxusa.org/the-ukraine-crisis-explained/
The second is the Rotary Foundation itself. Rotary's main causes include promoting peace, providing clean water, sanitation and hygience, and savings mothers and children, all of which are impacted through this war. You can give to https://www.rotary.org/en/donate to support promoting peace and disaster response.
If you are looking for more information on specific organizations to give to, I have found the following news sources to help you in your quest.
