Dean Rennicke, Assistant Dean – External Relations, Batterman School of Business, Concordia University Wisconsin

Dean grew up in Mequon, WI and attended Homestead High School. A multi-sport athlete he was a part of a State Championship Baseball Team, coached by his father Don and played on the State Basketball Team that same year that lost by one to State Champion Neenah High School.

This June, Dean was recognized by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel in their list of the All-Time best high school baseball players in Wisconsin selected by the writers and WI Baseball Coaches Association. Dean attended the University of Wisconsin on a baseball scholarship where he spent three seasons and is fourth in most career wins. After his junior year he was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers and spent seven seasons with the organization, five as a player and two as a coach.

Upon returning to Wisconsin, he was hired by the Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Club. He spent 15 years in the front office in various roles finishing as Vice President of Sales and helping the team transition from County Stadium to Miller Park, now American Family Field.

Dean has held several other leadership roles in sales and marketing with The Journal Radio Networks and Kapco, Inc. At Kapco, he worked with President Jim Kacmarcik and fourteen other local businessmen to help launch The Lakeshore Chinooks baseball team, where he served as Vice President/GM for six seasons. Under his tenure the Chinooks were named the #1 Summer Collegiate Team in the nation in 2014. The Chinooks currently play on Concordia’s campus at Kapco Park,

Dean joined Concordia University Wisconsin in 2017 and in his current role works to connect businesses and individuals to the Batterman School of Business and Concordia University Wisconsin. He also is very active in the community and serves on a number of boards in the area.

Dean and his wife Margaret have three married adult children, Ben (Madalyn), Elizabeth (Tyler) and Abigail (Blaine) and are blessed that all live in the area.
