I grew up in Woodstock, Illinois, but I’ve spent the majority of my life in Wisconsin which is where I consider home.  I earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater with a major in English Literature and a minor in Business.  I earned a Master of Arts degree in Special Education from Cardinal Stritch.
I taught students with disabilities, working mostly with students with Autism and Emotional & Behavioral issues.  I loved the kids!  After ten years of teaching, I decided that it was time for a change.
I have a passion for 19th Century Early American Literature.  I made a pilgrimage to Walden Pond in 2006 and participated in a retreat where I studied the land, literature and legacy of Henry David Thoreau as well as other authors.  While I was there, I wrote curriculum for my students with special needs in my Composition Literature class focusing on nature journaling.
I’ve been working with Dan O’Connor at O’Connor Wealth Management for a little over four years.  Everyday is something new.  We have a lot of fun at the office.
About a year and a half ago I joined Rotary.  It’s been a great experience, and I’ve made many new friends and new family members.  Friday mornings are the highlight of my week!
