I grew up in Shorewood Wisconsin, my first job was a dishwasher at Columbia Hospital.  I also volunteered at a nursing home down the street. I attended Shorewood High School where I received a varsity letter in diving and was the Senior Class Vice President.

I attended the University of Wisconsin Madison and was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority, my motivation for joining was the tater tot casserole and cheap room in a beautiful mansion on Langdon Street.

My first job out of College was for Random House Publishing Company, selling college text books.  I would cold call on professors around the state of Wisconsin, sometimes having doors slammed in my face.  I would work all day and spend every evening writing a personal thank you to each person I saw, my days were long sometimes working until 10 or 11 at night.  I lived at home and my sweet mother would mail out my packages and notes.

It was at Random House that I met my husband and relocated to Ann Arbor MI where I worked as a Regional Operations Manager for the SE Region of Molly Maid and division of SC Johnson. I traveled extensively and helped franchisees run their cleaning businesses.  This gave me the motivation to open my own businesses which I have done since 1989.

The highlight of my life are my three children, Haley, Emily and Marty all grown and living in different parts of the country.

Rotary has been an integral part of my life and supported me in both challenging and successful times.  Some of the greatest mentors in my life are Rotarians.  Lynn Streeter, Connie Pukaite and Alice Sedgwick to name a few.

Although I have not been around much this past year my Rotary Family is always close at heart and mind.
