Elisabeth enjoyed a very full and fun American Christmas. In the weeks leading up to Christmas, she spent two days making cookies with her Homestead friends and shopped for at least 10 Secret Santa gifts for school. Her Chamber Orchestra performed three times just before Christmas, she attended the Rep’s Christmas Carol with friends (thanks to Connie's donated tickets) and had her first ski team practice.

Elisabeth donned her ugly sweater on Christmas Eve, baked more cookies with Jan and did some final shopping before guests started arriving for our Blazich Christmas Eve celebration. Following dinner and the gift exchange, Elisabeth played several traditional songs on her 300+ year old violin while being accompanied by several family members. The evening ended with the 10 o’clock service at Crossroads.

Christmas Day got off to a late start. We enjoyed a brunch with family members, dropped off plates of cookies at Milwaukee’s Rescue Mission and ended the afternoon at with my sister’s 4-generation family in Menomonee Falls. The day ended with The Devil Wears Prada, one of Elisabeth’s favorite movies.
