Southern Ozaukee Fire and EMS Department in 2026

Nicholas Boehlke is the Deputy Chief of the Southern Ozaukee Fire and EMS Department, bringing 22 years of experience in the fire service. He specializes in training, building high-performing teams, and leading system-level changes to enhance service delivery. 

An Air Force veteran, he holds a B.A. in Secondary Education from Concordia University and both an M.A. in Foreign Language and Linguistics and an M.S. in Administrative Leadership from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee.

His presentation will include:  The origin of SOFD,  who we are and what we do and the future of SOFD.
