Where was I born?  I’m a native son! Spent my childhood days riding around on ponies in Menomonee Falls, I’m not from some exotic place like Cudahy!

I’m oldest of six so I became well practiced in teasing my sisters. My family had what you might call a hobby farm but that big garden is how my folks fed that big family and kept us all busy and out of trouble. I’m a good rototiller operator!

We lived right near the stone quarries in Lannon. They were our illegal swimming holes. We got quite good at evading the cops. I remember once getting caught. I was all covered in soap ready to jump in. So I asked if I could rise off. He said go ahead. It was kind of a losing battle to keep us away on a 90 degree day.

Cedarburg residents split on SFB apartment plan

Discussion of the proposed apartment development at the St. Francis Borgia site has always brought forth opponents to meetings, but the Cedarburg Planning Commission meeting on Monday, March 6, brought something new to the fold.

For the first time since the HSI Properties-developed apartment was proposed last November, a considerable number of citizens in attendance at the meeting voiced their support for the project.
