Among others, our local community services projects have included book drives, work with domestic abuse advocates, development of Rotary Park and a handicapped-accessible trail through Pukaite Woods, and the on-going work to maintain the park and woods and restore the native prairie there. Committee: Environmental Stewardship
Description:  MT Sunrise Club has been involved with many environmental projects that have touched and improved the lives of many people in our local MT communities. From our Red Bud project to our stewardship at Pukaite Woods, to our new pollinator garden and embracing and exceeding Rotary International’s tree planting challenge.

We’ve developed many key partners and how this coordinated effort, led primarily by two MT leaders evolved into an environmental stewardship committee.

Rotary International has an action group ESRAG (Environmental Sustainability Rotary Action Group) that integrates the importance of environmental projects into all of Rotary’s "7 Areas of Focus”. At the end of our presentation we hope that you’ll join us, especially on Saturday 11 May at Pukaite Woods.

Committee: Vocational Service
Description: Vocational Service involves club members serving others through their professions and aspiring to high ethical standards. Rotarians, as business leaders, share skills and expertise through their vocations, and they inspire others in the process. Our projects in the past have included annual scholarships for adult college students and support for adult literacy programs.

Observed each October, Rotary International's Vocational Service Month spotlights Vocational Service club projects, offering an opportunity for all Rotary clubs and districts to use our professional skills in service projects.

Committee: Youth
Description: New Generations Service is a new Avenue of Service that acknowledges the positive change implemented by youth and young adults involved in leadership development activities, community and international service, and exchange programs that enrich and foster world peace and cultural understanding.

Rotary's commitment to getting youth and young adults actively involved in Rotary was strengthened in April 2011 when representatives at the Council on Legislation approved New Generations as the fifth Avenue of Service.
